He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Barcelona, together with professors Ramón Martín Alsina and Antonio Caba. After finishing his studies, he moved to Paris in 1886, where he remained for two years. There he had the opportunity to admire the works of the Barbizon masters, whose influence was decisive throughout his production. Impressionism was at its peak. And the city was in all its splendor. All these discoveries were decisive for the artist, who settled in 1901 definitely in the city of the Seine. This beautiful view of Paris, where two urban roads intersect, offers a great perspective, thanks to the greenish masses that are lost in the distance. The spire of the Gothic cathedral and the buttresses rise gracefully through the buildings and bustle of the city. Contrasted with this modern city of large boulevards and modern automobiles such as the one Gaspar Miró i Lleó has painted at the crossroads. Paris represented at that time the sign of modernity.
