Up for sale is this original antique oil painting on canvas depicting a beautiful landscape titled "South of France". Signed in the lower-left corner by well-known French Artist Jehan Berjonneau. Nicely framed. The nameplate is in the middle front. Good condition. Please see the photos. Framed 32" x 27.5", painting 26" x 21.5". We found some interesting information about the artist from Wikipedia: Jehan Berjonneau was born in 1890 in France. He received his artistic education at various institutions, including the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, which is a prestigious art school known for its rigorous training in traditional art techniques. Berjonneau was primarily a painter and is associated with the Post-Impressionist and Fauvist movements. Post-Impressionism emphasized the use of bold colors and expressive brushwork, while Fauvism was characterized by vivid colors and a rejection of traditional perspective. Berjonneau's work often featured scenes of everyday life, landscapes, and still-life compositions. He was known for his vibrant use of color and a somewhat abstract approach to his subjects. Berjonneau exhibited his work in various art exhibitions and galleries throughout his career.
