"Once again we are able to contemplate the unique work of Joan Peris with its imaginative and fresh landscapes. All his paintings are as fascinating as they are unusual, emitting the expressive need of the author. They are therefore more allegoric and loaded with emotion than real; they are his imagined realities. It would seem that the vocation of his paintings is to transport us to alternative and Utopian terrain, in much the same way as literature or dance.
These are harmonic, recognisable paintings of apparent simplicity. Yet his knowledge of pigments and research process allow him to play with the textures and achieve compositions where the white backgrounds and coloured forms play an equally leading role".
