Karl Lange (1883-1954) was a German painter who was known in first place for his history paintings and landscapes. He studied at the Dresden Academy under Oskar Zwintscher Eugen Bracht and Gotthardt Kuehl.
Study visits throughout Europe, longer stay in Munich, was active in Chemnitz / Karl-Marx-Stadt, the artist exhibited regularly at the German Art Exhibitions in Dresden as well as at various regional exhibitions around Chemnitz
