Artist Kip Decker presents a charming farmstead on a glorious day. Rustic cottages dot the hillside, as three horses gallop happily around the pasture. A rooster sits on the fence post watching the antics unfold. Kip renders the elements with minimal detail and only suggests bare impressions of form for a folkloric enchantment. Part of Kip's ongoing Country Joy series.
About the Artist
Kip Decker boasts more than 40 years of experience with acrylic paint. His images come from places he has lived - everywhere from Arizona to Oregon to Colorado. He finds inspiration in nature and admires the work of Post Impressionist artists. He likes to think of his artwork as "lyrical expressionism." Kip currently lives across the street from a small lake where he enjoys watching the birds.

In 1999, Jodi Dann seized the opportunity to become a full-time painter. Today, her paintings read like hazy memories of imagined faraway places. The compositions are abstract, but possess strong architectural elements, recalling bridges, arches, and doorways. Each piece retains an overall sense of place without prescribing a location, allowing the viewer to form an individualized connection with the work. Jodi paints from her cozy studio on her property in Oregon while listening to a variety of music on Pandora.
