Hyacinth in Glass Vase is an original watercolour painting by artist Leigh Glover. Colour is key for Leigh, he loves colour to blow the blues away. The play of light on a landscape is also a thrilling experience. Creativity is liberating and it allows him to play and experiment with colour, form, marks and composition. His painting style is eclectic and is arrived at my experience of the subject he is painting. He am inspired by the natural world, mainly from morning walks with Dean the dog or from working in the garden.

I am always on the lookout to experience something new that I could communicate to my canvas. Paintings do not flow every day which is why I have been a gardener for many years. Being out in all weathers and seeing the play of light helps me to experience new insights, feelings and colours.' Colour is key for Leigh, he loves colour to blow the blues away. He is really taken with the idea of our human need to have one foot in human civilisation and one foot in the nature where we live for survival. Leigh Glover was born in England and studied at Oxford Brookes University and Heatherley’s School of Fine Art, London.
