It's springtime. Your mind conjures up memories of trips across the pond to Paris with a river boat ride on the Seine under crystal clear aquamarine skies! And then, thoughts of the Ile de la Cite come to mind and the blessed Notre Dame saved from the fire! To think that construction of the chapel began in the 12th century and continues today in a melange of French Gothic, Renaissance and Naturalism, resplendent with the glorious flying buttresses lending extra support from the exterior while nurturing the soul! Artist Leonard Mizerek does not disappoint with the requisite spring flowers in full bloom and bulbous white clouds over head and the waters of the Seine just choppy enough to serve as a constant reminder that you are indeed back in Paris! Mizerek, Fellow of the American Society of Marine Artists, is best known for his marine works and authentic European oil paintings that could only be created by someone who loves European culture and has returned there often. His three placements in museum collections include the Museum of Yvonne Jean-Haffen of Dinan, France. Amongst an endless list of awards and credits, Mizerek has been featured on the cover of American Artist Magazine. This is an excellent painting for any collection!

Leonard Mizerek
Leonard Mizerek, honored as a Fellow of the highly prestigious American Society of Marine Artists, is best known for his marine works. Among his works that are in permanent museum collections, one hangs indeed in the Museum of Yvonne Jean-Haffen of Dinan, France. Amongst his endless list of prestigious awards and credits, Mizerek has been featured on the cover of American Artist magazine as well as in both Fine Art Connoisseur magazine and American Art Collector magazine. He has held more than 50 solo art shows from The Mystic Seaport Museum to the Delaware Art Museum to the Muscarelle Museum in Williamsburg, Virginia.
