The oil painting portrays a surreal and enchanting scene of a month-long night. The canvas is dominated by the dark blue-black sky, which seems to go on forever. In the foreground, there are several haystacks, which stand out in stark contrast against the dark background. The golden-brown color of the hay is illuminated by the faint light of the stars and the moon, casting a warm glow in the otherwise chilly scene. The haystacks give a sense of scale to the painting, as if the viewer is standing in a vast, open field, with only the haystacks for company. Overall, the painting is a beautiful and haunting depiction of a never-ending night, capturing the sense of wonder and mystery that can be found in the darkest of times.
About the artist:
Kalenyuk Oksana was born in 1964 in Rivne region. The love of painting has taken over from the baby. From 1975 to 1980 she studied at the Zoryan Art School of Rivne region.
In 1985 she graduated from the Crimean Art College. M. Samokish (now has the status of a national university). Her teachers of painting were G. Kurilenko, V. Grigoriev. After graduating from the school, she began to work as a teacher of fine arts at the Piryatin School - a gymnasium of aesthetic education, which she founded with her husband in 1990.
Kalenyuk Oksana works in the landscape and still life genre. Personal exhibitions: Kyiv, Museum of Ukrainian Heritage; T. Shevchenko National Museum; the diplomatic mission of Ukraine to the USA (California) and others. She has participated in numerous exhibitions both in Ukraine and abroad.
