Erland Oscar Otto Leonard Ohlsson, born September 19, 1847 in Linneryd, Småland, died May 22, 1912 in Borås, was a Swedish singing teacher and landscape painter. He was the son of bank teller Gustaf Mauritz Ohlsson and Carolina Wickström and married to Hanna Carlsson. After Ohlsson took the oath. degree in Uppsala in 1870, he switched to studying music. He then studied art with Alfred Wahlberg developing his skills for light and details. While Alfred later in France developed into the impressionism, Oscar continued inspired by the Dusseldorf painters. He settled in Borås where he gave singing lessons and worked as an artist. His art consists of moonlight landscapes and idyllic motifs from Öresund, Halland and Blekinge. He is represented at the museum in Halland and Borås.
