About the Item
With a mixture of oil and acrylic paints plus 40 years of experience, artist Patrick Antonelle evokes generations of the sublime rural dreamland that is the Tuscan Hills in this original contemporary Italian landscape! Walking through the green, yellowing and tan fields you stumble upon the deep ruby red poppies that are in full bloom. You are gently warmed by the sun as you meander up the hill towards the palazzo mindful of the expected rains. The much needed water will nourish the yet unpicked vegetables for tomorrow's salads. Patrick Antonelle, long anchored in the Manhattan art world including his prior art gallery at the Plaza Hotel, continues to create his world of wonder that further placed his works in the private collections of Liza Minelli, Frank Sinatra, Ivana Trump, Deutsche Bank, Apple Computers and numerous others. An Antonelle painting was even featured on a UNICEF greeting card! Original Antonelles remain very collectible as well as suitable for any transitional space in need of a pop of color or a heart warming distraction. As framed, this piece is 30x26. The slightly distressed 3" plein air frame in antique gold was selected by the artist.
