- This is a RARE hand painted finishing by artist in a Large sized (60 x 80 CM) Artist's Proof made on canvas, each proof is unique.
-Due to the hand-painted nature, details may vary, each painting is as unique as a semi-original. ( pictures here are the details of Proof #1/3)
-A limited Proof edition of only 3 proofs on canvas is offered as an alternative to this original piece.

Acrylic, ink, Gesso and moulding medium on Canvas, stretched over a wooden stretcher.
Size, rare Large Artist Proof : 80x 60 x 1.5 CM
-come with an Authenticity Certificate and signed by artist.
- It is made on canvas then hand stretched over a wooden stretcher; if you apply D-rings at the back, it would be ready to hang without needing a frame, of cause, you can also frame it with your local framer. If you need advice on frames, just give us a shout.
About the painting:
For over 40 years, Benton End in Suffolk, UK served as the residence of the legendary artist and plantsman Cedric Morris, who also founded the East Anglian School of Painting and Drawing. Notably, his school attracted some of the most prominent Modern British artists, including Lucian Freud and Maggi Hambling.
Within his garden, Morris dedicated himself to breeding bearded irises and even named 90 distinct cultivars, all bearing the prestigious 'Benton' prefix. This year, landscape designer Sarah Price drew inspiration from Morris's Iris paintings to create the highly acclaimed Nurture Landscapes Garden at the Chelsea Flower Show.
As one artist passing the torch to another (Sarah herself being an artist before a landscape designer), Shizico Yi embarked on a series of paintings inspired by the garden's exquisite beauty. Concurrently, this project marks the beginning of Shizico's Golden Period, an exploration cantered around the colour yellow and its potential healing effects for individuals experiencing grief.

Dr. Shizico Yi is a London based artist, working on installations, films and paintings; the documentary nature of her work often concerns about the loss, repetition, the everyday subject and memories . With design and film background, Shizico combines her interests making installation projects which relate to artist's personal life in relation to the society and human condition at large.
Shizico Yi holds a PhD in Fine Art awarded by UEL, UK 2017; she had completed a Master in Fine Art with a BA in Womenswear from UAL. London. She is also the Winner of Women Film Makers: Best Shorts Competition 2013 Los Angels. USA.

Shizico Yi's work aims to explore artistic obsession through repetitive documentation of the domestic and the everyday.
