Contemporary and mysterious monochromatic and inspired by the garden at night. A wonderfully complex painting with a glowing center and brushstrokes ranging from soft and focused in areas, to others that appear abstracted. This painting, with its wonderful depth is a delight to behold.
The artist takes inspiration from French Antoine Watteau. whose brief career at the turn of the 18th century, spurred the revival of interest in color and movement, suffused with a theatrical air. Wired and ready to hang and enjoy. Artist signed and dated. From Andra Norris Gallery in California.

Stephanie Peek
Stephanie Peek graduated with an MFA in painting from the University of California, Berkeley and BA in art history from Wellesley College, Boston. Peek is known for her contemporary romantic, poetic and mysterious oil paintings, where light and drama often mingle to play central roles. Her paintings speak metaphorically of the fragile beauty and ephemeral nature of the world. Peek's lush works are focused on exotic and wildflowers that reveal their beauty while suspended in silence and time.
