A well executed mid 19th century oil by well listed artist Joseph Rhodes . The charming scene lost travellers on a country path. A farmer driving cattle is shown pointing the couple in the right direction with his crop. Finely painted with delicate detailing in the surrounding foliage. Signed and dated to the lower left quadrant. Presented in a swept gilt frame with pierced details and foliate ornamentation. On canvas.
