About the Item
This artwork is a unique masterpiece. Isn't it amazing how that few a number of strokes can depict reality with such accuracy ? A single stroke is more than enough for Yves Calmejane to figure a road or a furrow. But most of all, the masterful composition, the balance between brown tilled and green cultivated grounds, enhanced by the redish soil crossing the middle of the canvas bring the spectator into a state of contemplation which makes it difficult to leave this painting.
This piece is framed with a grey wooden frame handcrafted by the artist.
Yves Calméjane is a French artist, mostly influenced by Auguste Chabaud and Jean Arène.

Yves Calméjane
Born in 1956 near Paris, Yves Calméjane is a French artist. Calméjane studied fine arts in Nantes and Paris. He then followed tracks of his favorite painters to settle in Provence and finally joined Auvergne in 2013. Calméjane is mostly influenced by Auguste Chabaud and Jean Arène.
