Ethan Minsker's descriptors include writer, filmmaker, artist, publisher, and zine creator. His work chronicles the lifestyles and cultures of overlooked and underappreciated artists. He was a founding member of the Antagonist Art Movement, a New York City-based group of artists, writers, and musicians who promoted work by up-and-coming talent between 2000 and 2011. Ethan was the recipient of the Acker Award for Visual Arts in 2017. He was also the creator and editor-in-chief of Psycho Moto Zine, which has been in publication from 1988–present. He received his B.F.A. in Film with honors from the School of the Visual Arts and his masters in Media from the New School. "Blackburian Warbler" is a black and white artwork made from asphalt on cement and plaster mounted on wood panel. Atlanta-based artist, Tim Hunter’s work stems from his love of nature and concern for the environment. In 2003 he began working primarily with images of birds as an expression of his spiritual connection with nature. After reading an article about the declining bird populations in Georgia, he turned his focus to environmental issues. An avid bird watcher, Tim also experienced the heavily wooded area he grew up in, slowly reduced to shopping malls and subdivisions. He uses asphalt and cement to create his works which refer to the loss of habitat due to human expansion, which is one of the main causes of declining bird populations. His silhouettes are taken from Audubon’s series “Birds of America” which references a period in the past when the bird populations in America were more abundant. Ms. Wen resides in New York City as a full-time artist. She has exhibited nationally and internationally since the early 1980s. She was born in Taipei, Taiwan. She received her BFA from Washington State University, MA, and MFA from the State University of New York at Albany. In 1979, she won the First Prize in Painting in the Ten Outstanding Young Talents Competition in Taiwan. In 1980, she was awarded Outstanding Merit in the Young Artists in Asia Now competition in Hong Kong. In 1995 and 1996, her work was selected in many national and international jury shows, including the ninth and tenth Parkside National Small Print Exhibition.
