This wonderful oil on canvas represents two putti playing with a composition of flowers and fruit as a background.
The contrast of the chiaroscuro is clear, with the two cherubs standing out against the dark background, a pictorial expedient that reinforces the three-dimensionality and emphasizes the volume of the bodies, illuminated by a beam of intense light.
In this painting we note the pictorial influence that Caravaggio had in the art of Giulio Di Sotto.
