Famed female illustrator, Jessie Willcox Smith paints the " Ideal Child" in a spiritual moment for the Christmas cover of Good Housekeeping. The accomplished Jessie Willcox Smith studied under Thomas Eakins at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, and later, with illustrators Elizabeth Shippen Green and Violet Oakley, she also attended illustrator Howard Pyle's school in Wilmington, Delaware. Her superb work was featured in many national magazines, such as Ladies' Home Journal, Collier's, Harper's, Scribner's, Good Housekeeping, and others- Work is elegantly framed - Published: Cover Good Housekeeping, December 1920.
