Muideen Abdulkadir is an artist and a clinical psychologist with a specialty in HIV prevention. His fondness for drawing started during his formative years in primary education. He was kicked out of art classes cause he wasn't doing well. However, he continued practicing till his parents sent him to the College of Education Maiduguri to study fine and applied art. During this period he participated in two National Gallery Of Art Competitions in Nigeria and came first runner-up during my third attempt for the tertiary category.
His surgeon in art after his participation in Atrium: The Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, National Art Competition, fetched him a professional spot among Nigerian artists in 2013. Due to his line of study in mental health, he started to see clients with psychosocial issues as a result of his work in HIV programming, thus he discovered painting as a therapeutic interpretation of everyday encounters by individuals in society. This led him to develop his own style of contemporary painting called "Broken" which interprets various emotions.
