A wonderful mid-century study depicting an artist busy in his studio. He sits in a relaxed manner at his easel, working with the natural light from a large sash window. Bright colours and expressive brushwork bring the interior to life, drawing your eye towards areas of bold pattern and texture. The painting has been beautifully presented in a reeded oak frame. Signed in graphite to the lower right and dated, 1968. On board.
