Ottoman Barbary Pirates Raid, 19th Century
circle of Eugène Delacroix (1798-1863)
Large 19th Century scene following a raid by Ottoman pirates with a woman tied to the mast as the flee, oil on canvas. Possibly a historical account from the 16th/17th Century, interestingly the woman is wearing traditionally European attire, perhaps that of a noble. Excellent condition, unsigned and framed.
