About the Item

Raquel Sanchez Jacob's Ladder , 2021 oil on canvas 110 x 140 cm (43 x 55 in) Exhibited: Jerusalem Biennale 2021 Influenced by the Impressionist and Modern masters, Raquel's personal style in recent years has been effected by water. In her art emerge images of the sea, night, day, winter, summer, calm, storm, some with fish and some without. Each work tells a story, yet she does not illustrate stories. She is inspired by natural miracles. Her visual experience in Jerusalem. Tel Aviv Yafo, the Galilee and the islands of Europe and the USA has influenced the brightness, contrast, reflections of sun and shadow, and are immersed with life and joy
