Signed Lower right 'Cone'; titled verso, 'Hallo Kitty' and dated 2010.
A vivid still-life of a pair of Marciano 'Guess' faux leopard-skin pumps with purple linings shown dramatically contrasted against a cadmium-red background.
Marcia Park Cone makes her home in Lexington, Kentucky and is a member of the Plein Air Painters of the Bluegrass. In 2010 she contributed to Horse Mania, a local fund-raiser benefiting the Lex Arts organization, and in 2013, created "Still Cooking" using a bourbon barrel to benefit the same organization. Other listed works include Federal Judicial portraits currently on display in the Fayette County Federal Courthouse in Lexington, and a State Supreme Court Judicial portrait which hangs in the State Capitol in Frankfort. In addition to her painting, Cone is a noted sculptor, creating works incorporating clay and 'found objects'.
Displayed in the original, artist-designed and painted, faux leopard-skin and silver-gilt frame.
