Still Life with Zinnias

About the Item

Born in Philadelphia, Marguerite Pearson was best known for her still life and interior scenes. She studied with William James and Frederick Bosley at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts School and studied figure painting with Edmund Tarbell. In 1941, she moved to Rockport, Massachusetts where she had been spending her summers. She was an active painter until age 80, and also taught classes in her studio.
