Her work reflects the beautiful light and modernism that is found in the area. Samantha's artwork is striking, happy, and experimental. She utilizes imaginative color layering and lively brushwork to invite a fresh take on familiar, common place objects. She is inspired by the art of the late Wayne Thiebaud, especially in his paint application, color pallet and composition. Buller is also inspired by the artist Raimonds Staprans for his layering techniques. Samantha studied a semester abroad in Italy, which greatly influenced her love and passion for art.
