About the Item
An uncanny caught moment where two people with the same build and with the same pose appear as if they are going to greet one another as friends. On closer inspection, their body language says they are strangers in the street. They do not only do not know one another and do not acknowledge one another. This concept is echoed on the fringe of composition where two cars pass each other. The image is stripped down to basic shapes and colors. The two figures are wedged between the simple blue sky and a red road. This emphasizes their similar body shapes in close proximity but complete indifference and hence the point of the photograph. Upward view of cable car tracks on red Powell Street in San Francisco.
