James Byron Dean was an American actor
remembered as a cultural icon of teenage disillusionment and social estrangement, as expressed in the title of his most celebrated film, Rebel Without a Cause, in which he starred as troubled teenager Jim Stark.
Giant was the last of James Dean's three films as a leading actor, and earned him his second and last Academy Award nomination - he was killed in a car crash before the film was released. Nick Adams was called in to do some voice dubbing for Dean's role in 'Giant'.
