Coloured poster after a photograph by Franco Fontana (Modena, 1933), one of the italian most famous contemporary photographers. Titled at the bottom. Very good conditions.
Fontana started as amateur photographer, and thanks to experience, skill and research, succeded in becoming a famous professional photographer of nudes as well as natural and urban landscapes.
Photograph taken from the Presenze Assenze - Presences Absences - series. The main focus are some virtual presences, visible but not really tangible. The presences are ethereal, and can be seen only by their phisical absence or through some light, beaming their shadows. For this reason, the contrasting real architecture surrounding them is, according to Fontana, "the magic vision of the world, that always lies in what we imagine rather than in what we see".
