Happy Thoughts (Hand Talk), 2014 54.3 x 48.5 inches (138 x 123 cm) archival paper,archival ink, scratches, preserved moss, pcv, thread Stockholm based artist Joanne Grüne-Yanoff has been exhibiting extensively in the US and abroad since the 1990s. Grüne-Yanoff employs a variety of media to tell stories of hidden urges and secret desires. In exhibitions that interweave sound, video, photo-based images, sculpture, and words, Grüne-Yanoff immerses the viewer in a poetic as delicate as it is tenacious.Her work is held in a number of important public and private collections, including The Albright Knox Museum, NY, Liljevalchs Konsthalle, Stockholm, Sweden, and the Ginny Williams Foundation, Colorado.
