THE DIVER, in the median on Santa Monica Blvd at Holloway. This neon sign, built in 1950 for the Virginia Court Motel in Meridian, MS, entranced travelers on the Dixie Overland Highway, which was parallel to Route 66. Mike Gambone of Buffalo, NY, restored it and loaned it to the Museum of Neon Art. The 20-foot Diver on Santa Monica Boulevard is a replica of the original. It is part of a City of West Hollywood installation along Santa Monica Boulevard, which is part of the legendary Route 66.
Location: Santa Monica Blvd, West Hollywood, CA
