Alain Daussin began studying photography in 1977 in a school in Brussels. He was discovered by the French magazine Photo, which published some of his photos in the “young talents” section. Subsequently, he specialized in the photography of women. Since the mid-1980s, he has regularly collaborated with magazines such as Photo and Zoom. He has also worked for Elle, Knacht, Donna, Per lui in Italy, Stern in Germany, and for Amateur Photographer. In 1988, he had an exhibition in London at the Portobello gallery, as part of a contemporary art festival. In 1990, he held exhibitions in Rome and Milan as part of an operation organized by Lancôme. In the early 1990s, a selection of his photos were published in books bringing together several photographers. In 2000, he exhibited photographs at the Galerie Bortier in Brussels, which also gave rise to the publication of a book entitled Corps et Eau. From September 9 to 25, 2005, a new exhibition at the Brussels gallery Espace Blanche retraces his photographic career in black and white and in color.
