About the Item

This piece is an original vintage photograph from the original negative, shot by Clarence Sinclair Bull in 1936. This piece depicts Jean Harlow, who was an American actress and ultimate sex symbol of the 1930's. This is a rare image of Harlow, whose career was short lived due to her untimely passing at age 26, very few vintage photos of her still exist. This photograph was shot in promotion of Harlow's 1937 film, "Personal Property". This piece bears the "M-G-M" stamp on the backside that reads, "Kindly Credit M-G-M, Photo by Clarence Sinclair Bull". It also bears the press snipe on the backside that reads: "Lovely Jean Harlow. . .in one of her most recent portrait sittings proves more lovely than ever. Teamed with the most rapid rising star of 1936, Robert Taylor, she will soon be seen in 'Personal Property', a Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer production directed by W.S. Van Dyke, and produced by John Considine Jr." This piece is unframed and the sheet measures 14 x 11 inches. The image measures 12.75 x 9.5 inches.
