CLAUDE FLIGHT (1881 -1955) SWING BOATS 1921 (Coppel CF5) Color linocut, signed & no. 23/50, 8 5/8 x 11”. Sheet 10 x 13” on thin paper tipped to black-brown paper support as issued. Very good rich impression, paper with some minor brown tone. Small pin hole lower image and a couple of other minor printing imperfections common in these prints. This 1921 Flight is arguably the first truly Vorticist print to be produced by the Grosvenor school and is an early masterpiece of that movement. Early Redfern Gallery label, 27 Old Bond St, London W1. Established on Old Bond St in 1923 it moved to Cork St in 1936. Redfern Gallery, London represented the Grosvenor School artists since the 1930's and was their principal dealer. $30.000
