'Composition V, ' by David Mladjovic, Screen Print

About the Item

This 'Composition V' is a 20" x 27" screen print by artist, David Mladjovic, depicts an abstract composition of dynamic fields of color in blue and red forms in black, white, gray and ochre. Mladjovic created the composition by using old drawings and a transfer paper silkscreen method. "To compose, or to put one next to the other, is the arrangement of parts in a whole composition. Personally, the composition as a term in fine arts notes the structure that they create together in an artistic element in their interrelation. Our admiration for the composition is the result of a long process of adjustment, which has been for years and for reasons that very often have nothing to do with art. Picture created her viewer. It's a conventional relationship. The composition as a style is grounded on the theory of neoplasticism or abstraction of art and the reduction of it to as few factors as possible. The composition for me is aimed at bringing the truth closer to the foundations of things around us."--David Mladjovic David Mladjovic (b.1994) from Belgrade, Serbia graduated with from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Belgrade University with a degree in printmaking in 2017 and completed his Master's in Fine Art in 2018. He has been nominated twice for ERASMUS+ exchange program to be an exchange student for 5 months in Greece, Thessaloniki (2017.) and for 5 months in Croatia, Zagreb (2019.) and participated in an International printmaking workshop in North Macedonia, Bogdanci and exhibited in more than 40 group exhibitions in the country and abroad (Poland, Spain, Croatia, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Greece).
