Evelyne Huet
Evelyne Huet is a French artist born in 1955 who lives & works in Paris, France. With a mathematical background & teaching at university, she attended the famous studio La Grande Chaumière in the Montparnasse area in Paris for many years with the painter René Artozoul. Evelyne Huet has always painted humans only one per time but with simply the face, simplifying their representation to the extreme, both in the drawing and in the choice and application of colors, to give imagining their emotion of the moment through their eyes. Whether meant or simply suggested, there is undoubtedly a form of activism in his painting because of the oppression from others to minorities is often present in certain touches probably inherited from the so-called "primitive arts."
