A La Queue (Join the Queue) original etching from the series Naughty Dogs of Paris showing a line of five dogs of various breeds trailing a small Chihuahua on a leash who is turning her head towards the queue. This original etching is in excellent condition, hand signed by the artist and published by Sidney Lucas.

Boris O'Klein ( 1893-1985 ) immigrated to France from Russia with his family when he was a young boy. He settled in Paris after World War I and became a prolific artist well known for his watercolors and etchings of dogs getting into mischief. His images are often risque and are considered very humorous. They have been referred to as the Naughty or Dirty Dogs of Paris.

Boris O'Klein
Born Arthur Boris O'Klein in Moscow, September 26, 1893. He is a French artist and cartoonist. ( His family emigrated to the Alsace when he was a boy.)
He is known for his numerous prints and watercolors of dogs getting up to mischief. The prints are generally called "The Naughty Dogs" or "The Dirty Dogs" or "The Dirty Dogs of Paris." The artist was Arthur Boris O'Klein - Born in Moscow on September 26, 1893 and passed on in 1985. He was a French artist and cartoonist and is known for his series of dog scenes. His two main dog themes were Public Urination and also the theme of Male-Female Flirtation or Desire. O'Klein's main body of work as an artist was done between the 1930s thru to the 1950s. He also painted under a pseudonym, “Jean Herblet” The reason is not known but perhaps under that name he produced more serious work. All his work seemed to feature dogs however and under the name “Jean Herblet” he produced many hunting scenes.
