David is a black and white héliogravure on cream-colored cardboard realized by Choisy Le Conin, pseudonym of Franz Von Bayros (Agram, 1866 – Vienna, 1924).
From Mappe, a portfolio of 50 original prints (héliogravure or cliché from watercolors, of which 14 are colored) made around 1921 by Choisy Le Conin, with a preface of von Rudolph Hans Bartsch and published by Ed. Strache, Wien, Prag, Leipzig.
This is the specimen n. 285 on a total circulation of 500 prints. Ours is the most complete original edition.
In perfect conditions, with a protective tissue with the title of the subject.
This beautiful and original print, representing the young prophet who will defeat Goliath, David in a scene of ordinary life: he is playing a flute, with a delicate touch and a wide gradient of greys.
This object is shipped from Italy.
