Extremely beautiful Artist's proof. Sixth Sheet from “Vari Capricci”, the most important series by Giambattista Tiepolo including 10 etchings (uncertain dating, but presumably in the 1740s). A Perfect example of Capriccio painting with religious, historical, mythological and allegorical subjects, inspired by philosophical and literary suggestions. Giambattista Tiepolo (Venezia, 1696 – Madrid, 1770) was a famous Italian painter and printmaker from the Republic of Venice. Ref: A.
