A color pochoir on arches paper by Kees Van Dongen titled "Couple Conversing" from the La Garconne Series "Un Couple Parle Ensemble." Two figures are surrounded by an aura-like pink and purple. The pochoir is numbered 738/750. Archivally framed with 23k gold; 23k gold fillet, silk mat, and museum glass. 9 3/4" x 7" paper 6" x 4" image 19 1/2" x 17" framed Cornelis Theodorus Maria 'Kees' van Dongen (26 January 1877 – 28 May 1968) was a Dutch-French painter and one of the Fauves at the controversial 1905 Salon d'Automne exhibition. He gained a reputation for his sensuous, at times garish, portraits.
