Pop Art, Photorealism, a new Romanticism, new old forms of abstraction, monochrome, conceptual art, a resurgent Expressionism, the Neo-Informula, a new color field painting. This could promise: 'To escape the compulsion of usability in an apparently senseless act.' (Soulpault) The underlying idea is to link the idea of a task with that of failure, that we first experience only questions and only then these questions are before us. 'Come into the open, friend...' or girlfriend, this, 'because there is no other answer than the question itself...' (H. Broch). Ina Abushenko-Matveyeva has been my favourite for years." Rolf Szymanski, February 2002 (on the exhibition at the Akademie der Künste Berlin) Edition size 20. Handsigned and Numbered. Can be framed accordingly, contact us for options.
