"This abandoned manor must have been occupied by a creative and curious mind, as it contained 3 pianos, all sorts of recording equipment and old radios, sculptures, paintings and interestingly for me, lots of photography equipment. There were tins of old developing chemicals and blank photography paper. I’ve never seen a place so full of old treasures. I loved the vintage chairs and radios in this salon area. The attic and top floor was just crammed full of stuff, floor to ceiling of forgotten or unwanted items. It was just amazing to step into this time warp!"
In the Soho House collection (White City in the former BBC building) Radios in Lounge is part of acclaimed photographer Gina Soden’s series – How Long Is Now (2020).
This is a series that plays with a powerful paradox. At first glance, the viewer might think the photographs only depict the past: past dreams, past lives, past structures. In fact, Soden’s work really talk about the present and our perception of passing time. This series pushes the viewer into a profound reflection about the meaning of time, and our understanding of the present moment — of Now
Printed on Hahnemühle Fine Art Baryta 325gsm Giclee print, a premium quality paper, which is perfect for Gina Soden's brightly coloured and textured images. Fine Art Baryta paper has a similar foundation to that used in the past in traditional silver fibre prints. The paper's unique glossy Baryta surface lends itself perfectly to saturated colour images. Edition of 15 with 2 A/P's. Gina Soden personally prints and check the artwork in her studio. It will then be packaged and rolled in a tube sent by courier. Size includes 2cm border so it is ready for framing. With your artwork there will be a signed & numbered certificate of authenticity. This can be affixed to the back of the print when framed.

It features one of my favourite views of the London skyline - boasting some of the city’s most famous landmarks in a single line with one small difference - for legal reasons. The London Eye, Shard, BT Tower, St Paul’s Cathedral, and the Cheesegrater are all there, alongside one building that I’ve been asked not to feature in my work by its lawyers. Can you spot it? I love the shapes of the view’s outline so I have replaced the building that shall not be named with the head of shark. The ‘new’ London skyline is then laser-cut into gold mirror. City of Surprises is made to order. It can usually be created and delivered in around 3 weeks. Michael Wallner has artworks for sale online and in our gallery with Wychwood Art. Michael has spent more than twenty years in the media industry working on entertainment programmes, talk shows, documentaries, animations and a children’s novel.
