Numbered, titled, signed, and dated by hand ("E.V. 1/14 "El Escorial" Faber 1991") along the bottom edge. Presented in a new cream mat. Image size: 14"H x 11"W

Jack’s family moved to Palm Springs, California, in 1950. Jack graduated from the Northwestern Military and Naval Academy in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, in 1958. After graduation, Jack joined the Army Security Agency and spent the next few years in Sinop, Turkey, where he monitored Russian Submarines from P2V aircraft. Jack returned to the United States when his Mother died in 1960. He attended College and was reactivated by the military during the “Berlin Crisis” and spent a year at Ft. Devens, Massachusetts. Jack continued his education, ultimately ending up at the University of Southern California. He left college deciding to pursue the family movie theater business in Chicago. Jack was a natural showman and promoter, and loved marketing and selling the movies. He left Chicago and the family business in the late 1960s after his father’s death. Jack moved to Zihuatanejo, Mexico, and lived on a boat for a few years. In 1971 he moved to Aspen where he would begin his passion and pursuit of Native American culture and art of the Southwest. Jack traveled extensively throughout the Southwest, studying and buying art from the Pueblo Indians, ultimately putting together one of the world’s great collections of Native American weaving and pottery. He depicted his collection in a series of serigraphs, art cards and other print work that he sold around the country and online. Three glasses of water are sitting atop a few stacked books. While this piece is executed in black and white, Ezorsky has achieved a wide tonal range between the shadows and highlights, bringing the scene to life. Of particular note is the way she has captured the reflections in the water and the light that the glasses cast on the surfaces below them. Numbered, titled, signed, and dated along the bottom edge: 9/20 Water Glasses Ellen Ezorsky 11/81 Presented in a new white mat with foamcore backing. Mat size: 20"H x 16"W Paper size: 15"H x 10.75"W Ellen Ezorsky (b. 1956) was born in New York City. After graduating from highschool in New Jersey, she attended State University of New York at Purchase before moving to California. In California, she attended Cabrillo College in 1977 and ’78 before spending two years at Massachusetts College of Art in Boston. Ezorsky then returned to the west coast to attend and graduate from UC Santa Cruz with a BA in Studio Art. She then earned her MFA in Painting from the San Francisco Art Institute. Since graduating, Ezorsky has exhibited extensively and her paintings have been acquired for many private collections across the country.
