About the Item

Jamie Reid, Fuck Forever Hamiltons Gallery, 1986 Vintage folded screenprint Open edition 67 x 100 cm 26 2/5 x 39 2/5 in This is a vintage production for Jamie Reid’s 1986 exhibition at Hamilton’s Gallery in Mayfair, London from a recently rediscovered cache that had been stashed away for 35 years. With layout and texts by Jon Wozencroft and Jon Savage, this piece folds out into a vibrant screen print of Reid’s notorious Fuck Forever artwork for the Sex Pistols’ Great Rock ‘n’ Rock Swindle. Texts and images on the reverse reflect exhibits featured in the show, from Keep Warm This Winter Make Trouble, through God Save The Queen and Los Pistoleros del Sexo to Say It With Bricks. We have a limited quantity of this rare item. “This true and dirty tale has been continuing throughout 200 years of Teenage Anarchy, and so today there still remains the Sex Pistols. Their active extremism is all they care about because that’s what counts - to jump right out of the 20th century as fast as you possibly can, in order to create an environment that you can truthfully run wild in.” Malcolm McLaren and Jamie Reid for ‘The Great Rock ‘n’ Roll Swindle’ 1979
