About the Item
Wonderful mid-century abstracted landscape serigraph by Kenneth William Auvil (American, b. 1929), 1960. Signed and dated lower right corner. Center edge number "23/27" and titled on lower left. Condition: Excellent. Presented in vintage painted white frame and ivory mat (recommend replacement). Ships sans glass. Image size: 15"H x 25"W. Framed size: 24"H x 34"W x .75"D. This serigraph has some fading to the color saturation compared to other examples we have owned; less gold/brown hues. New acid free mat in off white color.
Kenneth William Auvil is a famed print maker and was a professor of art at San Jose State University from 1956-1998. He authored books on silk screening and drawing. His art hangs in the San Francisco de Young Museum
