House In the Clouds 1971 Signed Limited Edition Screen Print

1971

About the Item

Artist Name: Peter Max House in the Clouds Year: 1971 Medium Type: Silkscreen, on Arches Paper Size-Width | Size-Height: 22” x 30” Signed | Edition Size: signed in pencil and numbered 17/100 Beginning in the 1960s Peter Max has been rendering vibrant cosmic landscapes which have striking visual parallels to the themes that were being expressed by The Beatles; mind expansion, intergalactic journeys, fantastic timless landscapes, colorful portraits of curious characters, and above all love for fellow man. Certainly the subject of Max’s work often reflects his own social and spiritual interests alongside his aesthetic and formal concerns. Throughout the past two decades he became a champion of many causes ranging from environmentalism and the campaign for Tibet, to the restoration of the Statue of Liberty.
