Original vintage travel advertising poster for Nantucket published by The New Haven Railroad featuring a great illustration of the historic Courthouse (built 1772) in front of a tree with people by the doorway and a horse drawn carriage on the cobblestone road on the side, the old town image blending into the blue sea with colourful sailing boats on the water leading into the distance, the stylised title text below in white lettering. Nantucket is an island near Cape Cod in Massachusetts popular as a summer destination with its sandy beaches and National Historic Landmarks. The New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad (The New Haven) operated train services from 1872-1968 in the New England region of the United States. Good condition, restored tears, backed on linen.
