Original vintage British Railways poster - The Palace of Holyroodhouse See Scotland By Train - featuring stunning artwork by the notable painter and poster artist Claude Buckle (1905-1973) of the historic Holyrood Palace and ruins of the Augustinian Holyrood Abbey (founded 1128) with the forecourt fountain, ironwork entrance gates and trees in the foreground and green hills on the horizon below the cloudy blue sky in the background, the bold title text and British Railways logo and train images below with the description - Ancient Royal Palace in Edinburgh, dating from the fifteenth century. Home of many Scottish sovereigns, notably Mary Queen of Scots, and still used as a royal residence.
