Original antique lithograph poster for the French car manufacturer Hautier (1899-1905): Hautier Ebrayage Metallique Progressif Automobiles Canots Moteurs / Hautier Progressive Metal Clutch Automobiles Canoes Engines - featuring a great design by Ernest Montaut (1879-1909) depicting four men looking over their wheels at a classic car driving at speed towards the viewer, the driver smiling as the fashionably dressed young lady passenger turns around to cock a snook / thumb her nose waving her fingers for fun at them, a cherub angel figure sitting on the front of the car looking up with the bold stylised lettering diagonally on the side and below, the Hautier company name above mechanical cogs across the top. Large size. Very good condition, repaired tears, minor creasing, light folds, minor staining, backed on linen.
