Original vintage winter travel poster for Tyrol featuring fun artwork by Franz Lenhart (1898-1992) depicting a couple in a smart yellow gold coloured car with a Swedish yellow and blue flag on the front of it parked by a snow covered chalet to ask directions from two ladies in traditional dress outside, one sitting on a wooden bench and the other pointing along the snowy road up the mountain, a man wearing an apron and hat shovelling through the snow with a spade on the side, the car loaded up with a trunk and a shovel and skis on the back, people skiing waiting with children on a sledge behind the car with the bold white title lettering on the blue sky background by the mountain peak above. Issued by Austrian State Tourist Department. Stamped Austrian Travel Bureau Austrian Federal Railways Cairo. Printed in Austria by Tiroler Graphik, Innsbruck. Good condition, restored punched holes on top edge, restored tears, ink stamp on bottom, backed on linen.
