Original vintage music film poster for the Pink Floyd psychological drama movie The Wall based on the 1979 Pink Floyd album of the same name starring Bob Geldof as a rocker called Pink, Christine Hargreaves and James Laurenson, directed by Alan Parker, written by Roger Waters with animated segments by the political cartoonist and illustrator Gerald Scarfe (b.1936). This cult film is about the emotions experienced by Pink following his father's death and his construction of a metaphorical and physical wall built as protection from his insanity and the world. Dynamic design depicting a close up of a screaming face against a blue background, the stylised white lettering on the side with the title, credits and German lyrics for the Pink Floyd song Another Brick in the Wall - Wir brauchen keine bildung Wir brauchen keine gedankenkontrolle Kein finsteren spott im klassenzimmer Lehrer lasse uns kinder in rume! / We don't need no education We don't need no thought control No dark sarcasm in the classroom Teacher leave them kids alone! Pink Floyd was a rock music band formed in 1965; The Wall was their last studio album released by the original band members in 1979, which was followed by a tour and this 1982 feature film. Horizontal. Large size. Good condition, restored folds, restored tears, backed on linen.
