Original vintage Italian 2 panel movie poster for the first release in Italy of the award winning musical comedy film Some Like It Hot / A Qualcuno Piace Caldo directed by Billy Wilder and starring Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon. Fun image of Marilyn Monroe as Sugar Kane Kowalczyk wearing black and winking to the viewer, being lifted up by Tony Curtis as Joe / Josephine and Jack Lemmon as Jerry / Daphne wearing dresses with the mob standing in lines as stylised gangsters wearing suits with bow ties and hats and smoking cigars on both sides, pointing their tommy guns in front of blue skyscrapers in the background. Artwork by Giorgio Olivetti (b. 1908). Large size. Good condition, restored folds as issued, light staining, backed on linen.
